Homecoming Suite
A brand new work commissioned by Celtic Connections to be composed and arranged by eight of Scotland’s leading composers including Sally Beamish, Tommy Smith, Brian Byrne, Steve Forman, Chris Stout, Patsy Reid, Greg Lawson and Aidan O’Rourke.
The Suite will be a series of pieces for orchestra and traditional musicians/vocalists and will consolidate the current extraordinary musical and technical ability that traditional music in Scotland has reached in a unique marriage with one of Scotland’s finest orchestras – the
Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
