Scotland's Hogmanay Celebrations

Scotland is the place to party!  Enjoy Scotland's world famous Hogmanay celebrations with a variety of events across the country as we herald the year of Homecoming.

New Year is traditionally a time for friends and family and many of us will be celebrating with dinner and a dram in the comfort of our own homes. However, if you're interested in something more adventurous – from burning Viking longships in the Shetlands, to the huge street parties of Glasgow and Edinburgh, to flaming fireballs being hurled into the sea at Stonehaven - then Scotland is definitely the place to be!

And in Edinburgh, to herald the year of Homecoming Scotland, the Street Party will screen a specially commissioned film to be premiered after the fireworks at midnight which will see 100,000 people from all over the world in Princes Street united in song in a rendition to Burns' most famous works, Auld Lang Syne.
