Homecoming Scottish Open Speedway Championship
The annual Scottish Open Speedway Championship is one of the world's longest established individual speedway Championships and has been competed for and won by some of the greatest ever riders, including Barry Briggs and world champions such as the USA's Sam Ermolenko and current Grand Prix Star Greg Hancock.
This Homecoming year will see 16 of the best riders from the USA, Australia, Europe, Scandinavia and the UK compete for the honour of becoming the Homecoming Scottish Open Champion.
The 2009 winner will raise the famous Jack Young Trophy - raced for in memory of Edinburgh Monarchs' own World Champion - and will do so in front of many past winners and former racers who once graced the sport in Scotland, as they return to celebrate the Homecoming Year at Armadale Speedway.
To mark the season finale, there will also be a fireworks display.
