eatBute

eatBute is an exciting food event which will be held over three days, during Scottish Food Fortnight, at Mount Stuart, Isle of Bute. The event was developed to highlight sustainability, biodiversity, traditions and cultures linked with food on Bute and in the surrounding area.

The event will begin on Friday 11th September with a programme of activities for schoolchildren, guest chefs, trade, press and sponsors. The event is set to build on the success of eatBute08, bringing more visitors to the island and further enhancing the Isle of Bute's reputation as a food tourism destination. The second day of eatBute will see the official opening of the 2009 event. The main attractions on Saturday and Sunday will include the much anticipated Bute Food and Craft Market, celebrity chef cookery demonstrations, and interactive lecture series and a programme of family orientated activities. eatBute will conclude on Sunday night with the Bute Ceilidh, a part of the eatBute programme which has been specially introduced to coincide with the year of Homecoming.
