Ceolas Uibhist
Ceòlas is an annual event which explores the vital connections between Scottish traditional music, Gaelic song and dance. As part of Homecoming Scotland 2009 Ceolas is delighted to 'bring home the tunes and dances' which have forgotten in a special Fiddle and Step-dance event. Uist has many émigré families from across the centuries and they are all welcome back in 2009. Visitors can also take the opportunity of playing golf on the Old Tom Morris Golf Course which has been reinstated in Askernish.
