Burns Concert: Lament for Mary Queen of Scots
Featuring pianist Harald Kosik, violinist Verena Stourz and cellist Hanncs Gradwohl, the Haydn Trio Eisenstadt is one of Austria's leading chamber music ensembles. Since iooz the trio have worked closely with the renowned Scottish singers Lorna Anderson (soprano) and Jamie MacDougall (tenor). The Royal Society of Edinburgh and the University of Edinburgh are delighted to be able to bring these artists together, for one night only, and hear all five performers breathe new life into Haydn's songs. The evening offers further delights with a link up with one of Scotland's pre-eminent composers of this generation, James MacMillan CBE FRSE, who will introduce his newest work,
