Homecoming Scotland 2009 celebrated the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth. We also celebrated some of Scotland’s great contributions to the world: golf, whisky, great minds and innovations and Scotland’s rich ancestry and culture.

New Events Guide for Homecoming Scotland 2009 is launched

An updated events guide for Homecoming Scotland 2009 was launched today (18th December) at the Scottish Parliament. 

The programme has more than doubled in size since it was first launched in June this year, demonstrating the nationwide support and enthusiasm for the celebrations.

The new 48 page printed guide features more than 300 events and festivals, including more than 100 new additions.  All events featured link with the themes of Homecoming – Burns, whisky, golf, great Scottish minds and innovations and our rich ancestry, culture and heritage.  All event details can be found by searching on the 'Events Search Engine' on the website or by visiting the What's On section for a full text listing or to download the guide in PDF format.
