Fife Museums Forum is delighted to support Homecoming Scotland 2009, highlighting Scotland's contribution to the world. With eleven exhibitions and numerous events taking place in thirteen venues across Fife during 2009, we hope to offer something for everyone.

Robert Burns - The Murison Collection
A substantial and fascinating collection known as The Murison Burns Collection travels from its usual home at Dunfermline Carnegie Library to Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery. Come along and see rare books, works of art and much more all connected to the great man himself.

In Pursuit of Knowledge - Voyages of Scientific Exploration
The 18th century "Age of Enlightenment", the Victorian era of discovery and the heroic days of early Antarctic exploration all pushed the boundaries of scientific knowledge. Using objects and images, this exhibition helps you journey back in time to find out what life might have been like for these explorers.

Andrew Carnegie; A Man Ahead of His Time
Andrew Carnegie was a champion of scientific innovation and technology. A man ahead of his time, his worldwide legacy is exhibited in our newly refurbished Main Hall incorporating new technology in graphic, audio-visual and touch screen displays.

Burntisland Heritage Summer Exhibition
Following on from the success of the 2008 "Schooldays" exhibition, this year's theme of "Old Burntisland Industries, Businesses and Families" features a comprehensive display of information and photographs. Festival of Historic Transport
