'Forth Road Bridge Sunset', by Bob Marshall
What inspired you to take this shot?
I took this photograph of the Forth Road Bridge while out on an evening boat trip on the Firth of Forth. I had not planned to take it, but it was just a stunning evening and the situation sort of presented itself.
Why are you particularly proud of it?
It was quite a challenging shot because of the low light so I had to use a longer exposure. Although the water was really calm, the pitching of the boat meant that I had to hold the camera extremely steady to take this shot. I took many photos of the same view and only a few of them actually came out without being too blurry!
What does this particular location mean to you?
I would have to be honest and say that the location is not particularly special to me but I am proud of the fact that this shot shows the iconic Forth Bridge at its most magnificent!
Bob Marshall lives in Carberry in East Lothian, but still calls Aberdeenshire his real home.
