Homecoming Scotland 2009 has now finished.

Inspired by the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, Homecoming Scotland 2009 extended an invitation to Scotland's people at home and abroad to reconnect with our great country. Throughout the year and across the country, more than 400 events provided a special Homecoming welcome. Thank you for your support.

The Royal Highland Show is the greatest gathering of all that is good about Scotland.  It’s one of the featured events during Homecoming Scotland and is expected to attract 160,000 people over four days.

Hundreds of exhibitors of food, drink, farmyard animals, show jumping, crafts and education will converge on the 100 acre site near Edinburgh Airport.

With a packed entertainment programme including some of Scotland’s finest musicians, dancers and singers, plus the highly popular Children’s Discovery Centre, this event allows you to celebrate Scottish life like no other.

It’s an experience not to be missed and the show organizers are offering a ‘Red Rosette’ VIP package to include: -
  • Two tickets to the show for 25th and 26th June
  • 2 Nights luxury overnight accommodation at 94DR, Edinburgh’s coolest new Guest House (24 & 25th June)
  • Free access to the exclusive Members Area at the Show where lunch and high tea will be provided on both days
  • AND you will get the opportunity to present the prize to one of the winning animals!

Terms and Conditions for the Homecoming Scotland 2009 / Royal Highland Show Promotion

1. This promotion is open to anyone aged 18 or over. Entry excludes employees and their immediate families of HomecomingScotland, EventScotland, the Royal Highland Show, VisitScotland/visitscotland.com, their agencies and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
2. Only one entry per household will be accepted for the prize draw.
3. Closing date for receipt of entries for the prize draw is 18/05/2009
4. The winner will be notified by email within one week of the close of the prize draw.
5. The winner will be the first entry drawn by EventScotland under independent supervision.
6. Eventscotland's decision is final and no dispute will be entered into.
7. The prize includes:
•    Two tickets to the show for 25th and 26th June 2009
•    2 Nights (24th and 25th June 2009) overnight accommodation at 94DR Guest House in Edinburgh
•    Free access to the exclusive Members Area at the Show where lunch and high tea will be provided on both days
•    The opportunity to present the prize to one of the winning animals
8.  All elements of the prize are subject to availability.
9. No cash alternative or other prize is available.
10. No purchase is necessary to enter the prize draw.
11. Entry into the prize draw requires the consumer to provide their name and email address.
12. This competition is governed by UK competition law and no cash alternative will be offered. By entering the promotion the winners and guests will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions and by any other requirement set out in the promotional material.
